The old Buffalo Sign at The Mountain Inn

(877) 585-2226  Weather

Formerly the Mountain Inn, Nature's Inn is now under new ownership.

At the eastern end of the Big Bear Valley near the High Chaparral, about half way between Big Bear Lake and Baldwin Lake, in an area that was once populated by the early Hollywood elite (including Gable and Lombard) at the old Peter Pan club, and before that with cattle and cowboys at their summer range and before that with miners and trappers of the Lucky Baldwin Camp and... for 3,000 years before that with the Serrano Indians, deer, bear, mountain lion, and wintering eagles... sits a cozy little lodge called the Nature's Inn.

Nature's Inn offers low priced Jacuzzi in front of the fireplace rooms. Each room has been remodeled and decorated with rustic decor, river rock fireplaces, microwaves and coffeemakers. Most have kitchens or wet bars and Jacuzzi baths. The rec room is large enough for meetings and receptions and fun around the pool table.

Surrounded by Big Bear City and the San Bernardino National Forest, Nature's Inn is a perfect stop for hikers along the 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail heading from Mexico to Canada. Here at the Inn, hikers can walk to the Big Bear City Post Office (92314), the Community Market, BJ's Sandwiches, a Laundromat, Pizza Place, Church, Park and the Historical Museum. If they don't want to walk, a bus stops right in front all day long and if they want to quit and go home, the Big Bear Airport is also within walking distance.
